Book: Hell’s Angels

with 2 comments

I bought this book something like 2 years ago. Although I was pretty sure that it would be crap. The reason behind this assumption was its title, “Hell’s Angels”. Anyone, even slightly involved with the most legendary outlaw motorcycle club would know that its name is “Hells Angels” and not “Hell’s Angels” because there are many different forms of hell. It’s even written in the official web site FAQ :P
So, that was my first impression of this book. Nevertheless, I decided to spend some time and read it.

Title: Hell’s Angels: Three Can Keep a Secret If Two Are Dead
Author: Yves Lavigne

Well, in most of my book reviews I’m giving a quick overview of each chapter of the book I’m writing about. In this case I will skip that part since almost every single chapter is identical to the others. Anyway, have a look at the chapter titles to get an idea…

Introduction
Part I
1: Born to be wild: A history of the Hell’s Angels
2: hell’s angels: the club
3: hell’s angels: the business
4: pussy galore
5: the angels & the mob
6: the power of money
7: born to be mild
Part II
8: the big four: motorcycles, murder & mayhem en masse
9: the pagans: do unto other & split
10: the bandidos: southern fried pussy
11: the outlaws: travels with charlie
12: harvest of terror
Part III
13: taking care of business
14: tcb: le coup de grâce
15: war: a walk on the wild side
16: boobs, booby traps & bombs: the hell’s angels intelligence & security operations
17: the filthy few, the mad bumper & pogo

So, this book is the definitive HA hater’s handbook. It goes through all the known criminal activities involving HA members as well as other outlaw motorcycle club (both rival and affiliate ones) members. Author’s approach in every single aspect of one of the most popular motorcycle club in the entire world is completely ridiculous. There are even assumptions for HA activities with no facts at all. He even uses well known motto/quotes from very respectable Hells Angels such as Sonny Barger‘s quote “The police call it a gang… We call it a club” whenever he finds it suitable to disrespect HA a little bit more. I definitely hate this book and unless you’re a Mongol, you’ll almost certainly going to hate it too.

  2. OMG ret!!!
    Where are you dude!!!?

As you can probably easily deduce. Lately I don’t have much free time for blogging (that’s why you cannot see anything useful). I’ll almost certainly write about the e1000 dereference but there is still no official response from the developer’s side even though the bug and PoC are publicly available. This means I cannot do anything else but wait.

I miss your trolling attitude comments!! xD

    Welcome back!!!
